The Island House Invitational Triathlon Finalizes Roster and Details

Nassau, Bahamas October 28th, 2015

The final invitees to the inaugural Island House Triathlon are confirmed and include Tim O’Donnell (USA), Flora Duffy (BMU), and Cam Dye (USA). Tim O’Donnell recently placed 3rd and top American at the 2015 Ironman World Championships and he is a multiple Ironman and 70.3 Champion. Cam Dye has proven himself as USA’s best short ­course non-­drafting athlete, as evidenced by his three-­peat win of the Lifetime Fitness series from 2012­-2014. Flora Duffy is a two­-time World Champion (off­road triathlon) and finished 7th in the world ITU rankings in 2105.

Other recent developments that have impacted the Island House Invitational Triathlon roster include the withdrawal of Nicola Spirig (SUI) and Aaron Royle (AUS) due to recent injury.

The final roster includes 10 men and 10 women who will compete for the $500,000 prize purse, paying 10 deep. The male field includes:

The Island House Invitational Triathlon

The inaugural Island House Invitational Triathlon, a three­ day race with a unique format, will feature the world’s best professional triathletes and one of the world’s biggest prize purses. The race will be held in the Bahamas on November 6th through 8th, 2015 on the private island of Highbourne Cay, Exuma. World class athletes from both short and long course backgrounds will go head­ to ­head in what is sure to be the most refreshing and exciting event of the year. The innovative race structure will include individual time trials and races that mix up the traditional order and distances of swim­/bike/­run. Similar to the cycling model, the Island House Invitational will feature swim, bike, run, and overall classification leaders’ jerseys and prizes.
