Fantasy Triathlon Update

Dear Fantasy Triathlon Players,

As you may have seen, the fantasy sports landscape is changing daily. Because of these constant changes, all paid fantasy triathlon contests are on hold until further notice. We do not know when or if paid contests will continue. At this time, we have decided to change our focus to the free contests. FantasyTriathlon.com will be hosting free contests for all big professional triathlon races, including both ITU and Long Distance racing.

We have several big ideas for the 2016 racing season. Just a few of those ideas will be:
– Season long standings for ITU and Long Course Racing
– Prizes for the free contest winners (1st place or Top 3, depending on the event)
– Season long prizes (rules and logistics still to be determined)

Some things will not change – we plan to stick with the fantasy sports type scoring (ie. swim/bike/run prime points and overall rank) and salary events.

For members with current balances, there are several options for your funds.
1. Request Funds and get cash.
2. Donate to Fantasy Triathlon. This will help pay for some of the prizes initially while we finalize sponsors. (Use contact form for this option). All donated funds will be dedicated to improving the Fantasy Triathlon experience.
3. Keep money in your account until Fantasy Sports legal battles are finished.

These decisions took a lot of discussion among ourselves, and we believe this will push FantasyTriathlon.com in a new direction. Finally, we welcome Emily Cocks to the core team:

Zach Miller – Daily Fantasy Operations Manger
Aaron Webstey – IT Services
Emily Cocks – Sponsorship & Client Relationships Manager

Thanks
