I look at the athletes previous races, and sometimes I go by a gut feeling. Sometimes I just look at what pros are available and pick and win. Because in a #champion in a club of #Losers. Also more games would be cool. Like Lubbock was going down too.

I looked at the start list and picked out not just who I thought would podium overall, but who was likely to pick up the split bonuses (I had Potts in there to get swim points, same for Amanda Stevens, not win outright).
On the women’s side, I think Heather Jackson is a bit underrated at the moment and a great performer as well as a great closer, so I had to have her in there. Totally got lucky Kim Schwabenbauer which I knew nothing about, but also got a bit unlucky with Dede DNF’ing.

This was a tough one because of the heat. I played it safe and hoped for no major blow ups on the run course. That mostly happened—I am looking at you Maik Twelsiek, ouch!

I picked who I thought would do well all around and then also went with some specialist in Barrett Brandon and Matt Russell. Barrett ended up delivering big for me, luckily I called him on Friday and told him to pay Potts off so he could get the swim prime. Looks like Pott listened and then took it out on everyone for losing the swim prime. I am still pissed at the Truck Driver that took out Dede, glad she is ok, but not only did he cost her a chance at a great race, he cost me fantasy points!

“I can’t believe that I nailed the men’s picks for a perfect top 5 score but, my female picks kept me from the win. A little disappointing!”
